Moscow social assistants have already delivered medicines 150,000 times to citizens over 65 years old and people with chronic diseases, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports.
For two months, Moscow residents left over 167 thousand requests for the purchase and delivery of medicines, of which 150 thousand were completed. This is one of the coronavirus infection hotline services which works in support of the townspeople during the pandemic.
“So that pensioners and people with chronic diseases can stay at home without worrying about an adequate supply of drugs, we organized the delivery of drugs with the help of social workers and volunteers,” the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, Anastasia Rakova, said.
On average, the implementation of one application for medicines takes from 3 to 5 days. So, the necessary drugs were delivered 150 kilometers from Moscow and even to neighboring regions. According to the survey, 99 per cent of Muscovites were satisfied with the service.
