Six road video cameras designed to record driver violations appeared at six intersections of Moscow with “waffle” markings. This was reported in the press service of the Center for Organization of Traffic.
The function of the “waffle” marking is the designation of the area to which it is forbidden to leave if there is a traffic jam ahead that will force the driver to stop, creating an obstacle to movement in the transverse direction. According to the press service, the cameras will track the trips to the red light of the traffic light and “locking” the intersections with cars.
“This is one of those traffic violations that cause severe congestion, especially during rush hours,” the press service reported to the city news agency “Moscow“.
The press service also reported the addresses at which the cameras were installed. Violations will be recorded on Bolshaya Polyanka street in the area of house number 3, at the intersection of Vorontsovskie Prudy and Architect Vlasov streets, at the intersection of Maly Ustyinsky Bridge and Ustyinsky Embankment.
Also, cameras appeared on Sadovaya-Spasskaya street near house number 19, as well as on Kotelnicheskaya embankment in the area of house 1/15 and on the Enthusiasts highway near house number 46.
