The Federal Service for Labour and Employment (Rostrud) signed agreements with the authorities of 79 regions to create temporary jobs for the unemployed and employees under threat of dismissal, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Labour reported.
The Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Elena Mukhtiyarova, explained that the list of entities in which temporary jobs will be created is based on the situation on the labour market, regional characteristics, epidemic situation, and the region’s need for federal funding. It is noted that mployers will receive payments for no longer than 3 months at the level of the minimum wage, increased by the sum of insurance and regional coefficient.
It is specified that the government has already allocated more than 4 billion rubles to create temporary jobs. The funds will help regional authorities partially compensate for employers’ wage expenses. The largest amount of funds will be received by the Sverdlovsk, Rostov, Perm, and Krasnodar regions, as well as the Republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
