Air quality in residential areas of Moscow has doubled its improvement results. This was stated by the head of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of Moscow Anton Kulbachevsky.
“Over the past 10 years, air quality has almost doubled in residential areas,” he said.
The head of the department emphasized that Moscow will seek to further reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, as by 2030, it is planned to reduce their level by almost a third. Currently, this indicator amounted to 22 per cent in 10 years. Harmful emissions have decreased by 220 thousand tons, the Information Center of Moscow Government reports.
