During the coronavirus pandemic, Russians began to respect medical workers more than before, which is stated from the results of a survey conducted by the analytical centre NAFI from June 15 to June 18, 2020, Izvestia reported.
During the study, 44 per cent of respondents said that their respect for health workers has increased, while 60 per cent are convinced that the domestic health system coped with the pandemic no worse than in most other countries, and 18 per cent believe that it is even better than the other ones. It is also stated that 66 per cent of the study participants did not change their attitude towards the Russian healthcare system, while 16 per cent said that it has improved. Among the health workers surveyed, 32 per cent began to respect more themselves and their colleagues, and 61 per cent of them felt professional pride working in the healthcare system.
