About 20 per cent of all drug production in Russia is created in the Moscow region, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Moscow regional government.
According to the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, during a pandemic, the pharmaceutical industry in the Moscow Region produces drugs that are in great demand. Moreover, of the total volume of drug production in the country, the Moscow Region accounts for more than 20 per cent, that is, every fifth drug in Russia.
The governor paid a working visit to the Binnopharm Group plant in Serpukhov, where drugs for coronavirus treatment are produced. More than 550 people are currently employed there. It is noted that the regional government provided support to the plant in the form of a subsidy for the creation of engineering infrastructure facilities, as well as introduced tax incentives there. It is specified that the volume of investments in the project amounted to about 3 billion rubles.
