Almost 30% of Russians Not Ready to Skip Days Off for High Salary

Specialists of the Rabota.ru job search service conducted a study and found out which work schedule is most convenient for residents of Russia. According to the results of the study, almost half of the respondents (45 per cent) prefer to work on the 5/2 full-time schedule (that is, five working days and two days off).    

Also, 28 per cent of respondents noted that they are used to a shift schedule of 2/2, and 7 per cent of the study participants like to work long shifts. In turn, 6 per cent of respondents noted the convenience of the 6/1 schedule and 5 per cent like more the 3/1 schedule. In the “Other” option, 9 per cent of respondents indicated a free work schedule.

Besides, 44 per cent claim that they choose a certain work schedule because they try to establish a good balance between life and work, to 29 per cent of respondents a convenient work schedule means more time with their family, 28 per cent of the study participants said that they choose a certain work schedule out of habit, and 19 per cent try to earn more in such a way.

In addition, 40 per cent of Russian residents who took part in the survey are ready to skip 1-3 days off for the sake of a salary raise to an average of 100,200 rubles per month. Another 13 per cent of respondents noted that they are ready to work 4-6 additional days a month for a salary of 113,700 rubles. In turn, 7 per cent of the study participants are ready to skip more than 6 days off for 117,300 rubles a month, and 12 per cent can work with not a single day off at all for a salary of 128,400 rubles.

Interestingly, 28 per cent of respondents highly value their time for rest, thus they are not ready to skip a single day off for a higher salary, no matter how much the raise could be.
