The Second Winter International Arts Festival in Moscow under the artistic direction of People’s Artist of the USSR, Yuri Bashmet, will start on January 18, 2021, with the premiere of the musical and literary performance “Yesenin and Mayakovsky”, TASS reports with a reference to the press service of the Russian Concert Agency.

According to the organizers of the event, the Zaryadye Concert Hall will host the Yesenin and Mayakovsky musical and literary performance, dedicated to two geniuses of poetry. It is specified that the Russian actor, Mikhail Porechenkov, will act as a reader, and Bashmet will be at the console of the ‘Moscow Soloists’ chamber orchestra.
Another premiere is scheduled for February 10, 2021, at the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre. There, visitors will see the musical performance “Date in Moscow” to the music of Alexander Tchaikovsky, directed by Pavel Safonov. In total, 12 concerts at seven venues await spectators as part of the festival.
It is noted that the playbill contains such popular performances as “Onegin. Lyrical Digression” by Marina Brusnikina with Elizaveta Boyarskaya and Evgeny Mironov in the lead roles (January 26, 2021), as well as “Don’t Leave Your Planet” with the participation of Bashmet and famous Russian actor Konstantin Khabensky (January 30 and 31, 2021).
