Audio guides with audio and video recordings for walks in five specially protected natural areas of the Leningrad Region were created by the regional branch of the All-Russian Society of Nature Conservation, TASS reports.
It is noted that the project “Audio Guides for Eco-Routes in the Protected Areas of the Leningrad region” was developed at the expense of the governor’s grant. There are 47 regional specially protected natural areas in the region, six of which have international protected status.
Audio guides are recordings ranging in length from 30 to 50 minutes. From them, tourists can learn about the history of protected areas, conservation regime, as well as plants and animals inhabiting this or that nature reserve. The first recordings are the guides to the Koltushsky heights, the Nicholas Roerich Estate Museum, Kotelsky reserve, Toksovsky Heights, and Kokkorevsky reserve.
