In February 2021, the volume of the Russian market for used premium cars amounted to 40.5 thousand cars, according to the AUTOSTAT analytical agency. This result is 2 per cent higher than the result of February 2020.
It is specified that Mercedes-Benz remains the leader of the rating among premium brands on the used car market, which accounted for 25 per cent of total sales. In quantitative terms, this is 10.1 thousand cars, which is 1 per cent more than a year ago. In second place is BMW with an indicator of 9.9 thousand cars sold (+5 per cent). Audi took third place (7.3 thousand cars; -2 per cent). Next came Lexus (3.9 thousand cars; +7 per cent) and Land Rover (2.5 thousand cars; +11 per cent).
The most popular model on the secondary market among premium cars at the end of February this year was the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which was purchased in the amount of 2.5 thousand cars. The second position in this rating is occupied by BMW 5-Series (2.4 thousand cars). Finally, the BMW X5 crossover with the result of 2 thousand cars closed the top three.
