Auto Experts Told About Russian Drivers’ Overspeed Records

Novosibirsk drivers confessed their maximum overspeed when driving on the roads of the region and the country, VN.ru reports with reference to Drom.ru. The most popular answer among Novosibirsk drivers was the speed of 180 km/h (24 per cent).  

In second place is the option with 20 per cent of the votes (160 km/h). In turn, the 200 km/h overspeed confessed 16 per cent of Novosibirsk drivers. The answers “220 km/h”, “240 km/h”, and “even faster” were chosen by 10 per cent, 6 per cent, and 11 per cent of the region residents, respectively. Only a small part of drivers did not exceed the speed of 140 km/h (9 per cent) and only 4 per cent of Novosibirsk residents drove at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

The fastest in Russia, according to the results of the survey, were the drivers of Crimea. There, 20 per cent of the inhabitants have at least once driven at a speed higher than 240 km/h. Yakutia’s drivers, on the other hand, prefer not to rush on the roads, the answer “120 km/h” is twice as popular in the region as the national average.
