The consolidated budget of the cultural sphere of Bashkiria in 2020 amounted to about 12 billion rubles which became a record for the regional ministry of culture. More than half of the amount was directed to the modernization of cultural institutions, TASS reports with reference to the Minister of Culture of the republic Amina Shafikova.
“About 12 billion rubles, this is a record amount, was the consolidated budget in 2020. This amount has never been in the history of the Ministry of Culture, in the history of the cultural sphere – it is about 12 billion in funding, which is 4.8 per cent of the share of spending on culture,” Shafikova said.
Also, the money was used to purchase musical instruments for children’s art schools, auto clubs, transport, equipping model libraries and cultural institutions.
In 2020, it was reported that by 2024 the region will receive more than 10 billion rubles for the implementation of the activities of the “Culture” national project until 2024. It was planned to use these funds to build 27 new rural houses of culture and renovate another 52 institutions.
