The winner of the Beauty of Russia 2022 contest became a 19-year-old Daria Lukonkina, a native of Nizhny Novgorod. This year, she has already won the crown of “Miss Nizhny Novgorod 2022”, and now she will represent Russia at the international contest “Miss Earth 2023”, which takes place in the Philippines.
“I didn’t expect to win, but I really wanted this title to be mine,” the winner shared her impressions.
The final of the oldest Russian beauty contest was held in Sochi, where over 50 participants competed for the main title. Last year, a 19-year-old Ekaterina Velmakina from the Moscow region was recognized as the “Beauty of Russia”.
The new “Beauty of Russia” (in the centre of the above-published picture) is studying at the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Management and Socio-Technical Services. She also works as a model, organizes children’s parties, and dances in the cheer leading team of the Torpedo hockey club.
