Beeline Analysed Russian Men’s Expenses on Women’s Day

The ‘Beeline Business’ experts found out how much Russian men and women spend on gifts for March 8, 1rnd reports. To conduct the study, they used the “Mobile Polls” company’s service which made it possible to interview 1,000 men and women of various age groups throughout Russia in just 1 day.  

According to the results of the study, despite the fact that 50 per cent of men and 78 per cent of women sincerely love the holiday, male and female citizens of the country spend different amounts of money on gifts for this day. The average check of a woman is 1,107 rubles, while for a man it is 2,600 rubles. About a third of men spend up to 1,500 to 3,000 rubles on a gift, and the same number of them, up to 1,500 rubles. Gifts cheaper than 500 rubles prefer to make 28 per cent of women and only 9 per cent of men.

In addition, it turned out that half of the women dream of receiving flowers or cosmetics as a gift, 21 per cent chose money, 17 per cent voted for jewellery, and 14 per cent prefer gadgets. Next, in descending order of interest, are gift certificates, clothing, concert tickets, and household appliances. It also turned out that for every man and woman, on average, there are 4-5 gifts, which 78 per cent of women and 76 per cent of men still prefer to choose offline and in advance (48 per cent of women and 56 per cent of men).
