The experts of Russian Quality Service (Roskachestvo) chose the best rose wines of Russian producers. The study was conducted as part of the “Guide of Russian Wines”, which was created by the Roskachestvo jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
A total of 35 samples were analyzed. Dry rose wines made up the majority, that is 19 samples. According to the results of the study, almost half of the investigated rose wines, that is 46 per cent, received high tasting ratings from experts.
The first places have occupied the wines from the largest wine-growing regions of Russia, they are Crimea, Sevastopol, and Krasnodar Territory. Among the best dry rose wines, there is Cabernet Franc by the company Fanagoria.
The best semi-dry rose wine of the conducted study was the Southern Terroir sample by the Myskhako Novorossiysk winery. In the list of semisweet rose wines, the first place was taken by the Kuban Vino.
