Russian libraries will remove books labelled “18+” from public access. After the removal, all books will be edited in accordance with the labelling given by a publisher.
The requirement is related to protection from harmful information. Usually, there are two or more types of libraries in Russia, which receive either children of different ages or adults. Those organizations that both children and adults come to, will have to allocate separate rooms or shelves for books labelled 18+. Such books should be put in a closed cabinet and given out only to those who have reached the age of 18.
