The borders of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which are connected with the territory of foreign states, are the state border of Russia. Such information is confirmed by agreements between the new regions and the Russian Federation.

“The border of the Donetsk People’s Republic, connected with the territory of a foreign state, is the state border of the Russian Federation,” the document says.
The same statement is in the text of the agreement with the Lugansk People’s Republic, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
As remined, on October 2, it was reported that the borders of the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions within Russia will be determined by the borders that existed on the day of their formation and the day of their admission to Russia.
Thus, the DPR and the LPR are part of the Russian Federation within the administrative boundaries of 2014 established in their constitutions.
In addition, it is reported that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, will appoint acting heads of regions within 10 days from the date of the admission of the regions to the Russian Federation.
