The Shcherbinsky Lift-Building Plant has tested a new cab disinfection system which will soon be launched into mass production, according to the head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov. In the period from January to September 2020, Moscow enterprises have already produced 12.7 thousand lifts, which is more than a quarter higher than the figures for the same period last year.
It is specified that disinfectants in the new development are single LED emitters of bactericidal ultraviolet radiation, which cleanse the air and surfaces. The uniqueness of the design lies in the fact that the system is built into the cab, rather than being mounted as a separate element. When the lift doors are opened or people are in it, the system is turned off, and the lift operates in regular mode.
It is noted that at night the duration of disinfection will take one hour. This will ensure almost complete sterility of the lift. Data on the operation of the system will be displayed on a screen located inside the cab, which will help to carry out diagnostics and repairs in a short time, according to the official website of the Moscow Mayor.
