On December 23, in Moscow, the city Stork Wings Award was presented for the contribution to the development of the family structure of orphans and children without parental care, reports VM.RU.

The Firsanovs have been together for over 25 years – this year they celebrated a silver wedding. They have a son, Mikhail, and a daughter, Ekaterina, who is now 24 years old.
The first adopted child was the girl Nadia, she was at that time 5.5 years old. The second one was 5-year-old Sveta with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. A year later, Irina and Alexander took five-year-old Andrey.
“Later we decided to enter into a pilot project on property support for foster families and took five children from the institution at once,” Firsanovs say.
So their family got new members: little Maxim, sisters Christina and Carolina and boys Sasha and Misha.
There are several thousand such families in Moscow, because the majority of orphans, that is 93 per cent, are brought up by foster parents.
