China is going to use the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) to further develop trade and economic partnership with the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia, RT reports with reference to China’s ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui.
“We are ready to work with the Russian Federation for expansion of cooperation on the whole territory of the Far East, contribute to the recovery of the region’s economy, its sustainable development, and recovery after the pandemic,” Hanhui said.
Earlier, it was announced that the VI Eastern Economic Forum has been opened in the capital of Primorye, Vladivostok. It was already in August that representatives from 51 countries have confirmed their participation in the event.
As for China, the country’s authorities are ready “to encourage any enterprises that may invest in the Far East, as well as expand bilateral cooperation with Russia in various fields”, as the envoy stated.
“China places great value on the forum’s role as this is a bridge for cooperation in the whole region,” the ambassador concluded.
