Chinese Electric Cars to Appear on Russian Market

In an interview with the Minsk TV channel ‘CTV’, the general director of the BelGi plant, Gennady Svidersky, said that the assembly of the Chinese electric sedan “Geometry A” will begin in Belarus in the Q4 of 2021. Then the arrival of the car can be expected in Russia as well, RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that the Geometry A sedan has been on sale in China since 2019. It is equipped with a 163-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 51.9 or 61.9 kilowatt-hours: in the first case, the power reserve is 410 kilometres, in the second, it is 500 kilometres. Geometry A accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 8.8 seconds, and its top speed is 150 kilometres per hour.

Also, BelGi plans to master the release of the second model of the Geometry sub-brand, the C hatchback. It is specified that the orders for it are already being accepted. Geometry C is comparable in size to the Geely GS and is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 204 horsepower. In its turn, Geometry C accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 6.9 seconds.
