Crimean residents started to grow the fruits of the Asimina, the harvest of which is similar to a banana in texture and tastes like a melon and pineapple at the same time, RIA News reports.

At the moment, about 3,000 seedlings of this plant are located in the rural settlement of Pochtovoe, Bakhchisaray region. They had to be bought in America, and now, they are already in the process of growing. It is noted that the fruit’s taste is quite interesting and immediately seems delicious to Russians. It is specified that the first large harvest is planned to be ready in four years.
