The Kirov region will allocate 128 million rubles for the implementation of the national project “Culture” in 2021, which is almost 35 per cent more than the level of 2020. The funds will go to the creation of model libraries, virtual concert halls, renovation of culture houses and art schools, TASS reports with reference to the Minister of Culture of the region Tatyana Mazur.
At the beginning of the year, the ministry reported that the amount of funding for activities under the national project for the current year will amount to 83 million rubles. In 2021, almost 128 million rubles have already been allocated for the implementation of the national project. At the same time, in general, the amount of funding has grown over three years (in 2019 it was 19 million rubles and in 2020, 95 million rubles).
According to Mazur, this year the funds will be directed to the creation of five more model libraries in the Kirov region, 3 virtual concert halls in children’s art schools in the cities of Kirs, Zuevka, and Belaya Kholunitsa, and the renovation of 4 buildings of rural clubs in the districts. Also in 2021, the buildings of children’s art schools will be overhauled. In addition, the digitization of book monuments will continue (they will digitize 694 such books by 2024).
