Demand for Couriers in Russia Increased 5 Times Since 2020

In the first three weeks of October 2021, the demand for couriers in Russia increased by 10 per cent compared to the last month. During the year, there were 5.2 times more vacancies for delivery service employees in the country.

As specified, during the year, vacancies for couriers in Moscow increased by 407 per cent, in the first three weeks of October compared to last month they raised by 18 per cent. It is noted that the average salary offer for a full-time foot courier today is 55,000 rubles and for a courier driver, 85,000 rubles. (over the year, the average salary of a courier delivery employee has increased by a third).

In St. Petersburg, compared to October last year, vacancies for couriers increased by 4.8 times, and during the first three weeks of October, demand increased by 13 per cent compared to September. A foot courier there earns an average of 45,000 rubles per month, the maximum salary level of 75,000 rubles.

In Voronezh, the annual increase in demand for couriers amounted to 268 per cent, in the first three weeks of October vacancies increased by 1.3 times. A courier on foot, on a scooter or bicycle, earns an average of 32,000 rubles, with a maximum salary of 50,000 rubles, while a courier with a personal car can get from 48,000 to 87,000 rubles.

In addition, there were 412 per cent more courier vacancies in Kazan compared to October 2020, in Krasnodar, the demand for couriers increased by 408 per cent over the year, and in Nizhny Novgorod, by 395 per cent compared to October last year.
