The most scarce professions Russian employers consider engineers (100%), teachers (86%), and doctors (84%). The data are presented in a joint study by the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications and the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion.
According to the employers participating in the survey, employees should be able to work in a team. This skill scored 4.32 points out of 5. The desire to engage in self-education was rated at 4.25 points, business communication at 4.1 points, an initiative at 4.07 points, and the ability to work with information and communication technologies at 4.06 points.
The main problems that employers faced when writing vacancies were the lack of applicants (20%), the required level of qualification (20%), the low level of salaries compared to other employing companies (15%), and the high expectations of applicants (8%).
