On December 11, at the Illuzion cinema in Moscow, there will be continued the premiere screening of the series of documentary drama The Great Battles of Russia by Star Media and Babich Film.
The project of 12 series tells about the largest battles in the history of Russia. The viewer will be able to study the details of military tactics and strategies, learn about the technical capabilities and armament of the armies, about the number of troops of opposing forces, and also see the reconstructed scenes of the battles.
The next film, continuing the cycle, will be “The Capture of Kazan”. The siege and capture of Kazan, undertaken by Russian troops under the leadership of Ivan the Terrible in 1552, was the logical conclusion of the war with the Kazan Khanate, putting an end to its existence as an independent state. This assault was undertaken using the latest military-engineering methods of warfare.
The organizers of the film screenings are the Russian Military-Historical Society and the State Film Fund of Russia.
