Scientists at the Don State Agrarian University invented sausage with medicinal properties. To achieve this result, the associate professors, Olga Voitenko and Yuri Nasirov, added Jujube fruit, also known as Chinese date, to the classic recipe of boiled sausage, 1rnd reports.
It is noted that the fruits of Jujube have already been used in Chinese medicine, cosmetology and cooking for several hundred years. So, the use of this sausage, according to the researchers, has a positive effect on liver function and the immune system, as well as helps to treat the diseases of the cardiovascular system and gastrointestinal tract.
It is specified that in order to preserve the useful properties of a new product, it must be baked at a temperature not exceeding 180°C. Last year, scientists have already patented their invention, and now they are negotiating with large meat processing enterprises in the Southern Federal District about its launch into production.
