The first trip of the “Tavria” (“Taurida”) double-decker train on the route connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg was made today, on May 1, 2021, TASS reports with reference to the Deputy Head of a Separate Subdivision of Grand Service Express in St. Petersburg Margarita Krasnoshchekova.
According to Sergey Korneev, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, the arrival of the train was one of the events within the framework of the information campaign “Two Cities – One Million Impressions”, which involves the mutual attraction of Russian and then foreign guests, as well as the promotion of tourism products of the two capitals.
It is planned that the “Tavria” train #152 will also depart from Moscow on May 8 at 2.30 am and arrive in St. Petersburg at 12.40 pm. From St. Petersburg, it will depart on May 3 and May 10 at 1.45 am and arrive in Moscow at 11.47 am. There are 458 seats on board the first train. Tickets for the first flight were completely sold out. The train route from Moscow runs with stops at the stations Tver, Vyshny Volochyok, Bologoye, Malaya Vishera; from St. Petersburg, it will go through Bologoye and Tver.
