Yesterday in Moscow, the winner of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) Challenge Cup was determined, who opened the program of the Hockey Stars Week. In the Challenge Cup, teams of two conferences competed – Western and Eastern.
Already in the first period of the match, six goals were scored, and it ended with a score of 4:2 in favour of the East team. In the second period, the West team reduced the gap, but at the end of the meeting conceded an empty goal and lost. The final score is 5:3.
The program of the Hockey Star Week also includes the match of the Women’s Hockey League today, on January 12, and a master show and the match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) stars, which will be held on January 18 and 19 at the VTB Arena.
Recently it was reported that the Russian youth team in overtime defeated Sweden in the semifinal of the 2020 world hockey championship in the Czech Republic.
