The Orthodox service Miloserdie (“Mercy”) is preparing to congratulate 17 thousand people. In Moscow, the annual campaign “Give Joy for Easter” was launched recently. This action helps to raise funds for the disadvantaged.
On Easter holidays, volunteers and employees of the Orthodox service Miloserdie plan to give gifts to the ill children, the elderly, the homeless, the poor, the patients of Moscow clinics, and to students of boarding schools.
For a week, the organizers have already raised funds for 3,500 gifts. The action will last the entire Great Lent and the first week after Easter. This year, one set will be estimated at 71 rubles. Gifts will begin to be presented on April 19, that is the Orthodox Easter day.
