On January 18 and 19, in the Sokolniki park, the celebration of the Epiphany will take place with bathing in the ice hole and festivities.
In Sokolniki Park, the program will begin after the end of the Orthodox Epiphany services in the Moscow Temples on January 18, 2020.
At 21:00 at Oleniy Pond, the grand opening of the holiday and the blessed Epiphany Baptism service will begin. At 21:30, in the meadow near the font, the animation program ‘Epiphany fun’ will start. Until 2 a. m. with short breaks, entertainment venues will work.
At 22:00 there will begin the festive concert of the folklore ensemble. At 22:45 visitors will be able to take part in games and dances around a fire with musical folklore accompaniment and live accordion. From 20:00 to 03:00 people will be given free tea as part of the mini-fair.
Those who wish to participate in the Epiphany bathing, will be able to do this from 21:30 on January 18 to the midday of January 19. After closing the font and leaving the site by the Ministry of Emergencies, bathing is completely stopped.
