More than 40 people took part in the face-to-face stage of the Ethnographic Dictation in the native languages of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of Russia, held at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg.

It is noted that the educational action is timed to coincide with International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated today on February 21. The ethnodictation was organized by the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of Russia together with the “Prosveshchenie” publishing house with the support of the St. Petersburg Committee for Arctic Affairs and the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library.
It is specified that the theme of the action this year was “The Tales of My People”. About 60 people take part in the remote stage of the action, which takes place online. Among the participants in the dictation are mainly students and teachers of St. Petersburg universities, many of whom came in national costumes.
