A study of the job search service Superjob showed that 11 per cent of Russians are going to make a gift to themselves.
74 per cent of respondents prepare New Year’s gifts to relatives and friends. 38 per cent intend to congratulate their beloved ones, 24 per cent – friends, 12 per cent – colleagues. 11 per cent of the study participants said they were not going to congratulate anyone at all.
The authors of the survey found a connection between the level of income and willingness to give gifts: among the respondents with a salary of up to 30 thousand rubles there are 11 per cent those who are preparing presents, and in the category with an income of more than 80 thousand rubles a month there are already 16 per cent of them.
