Ozon online store announced the average expenses of Russians on Valentine’s Day, which range from 1200 to 1700 rubles, reports TASS. The most popular presents for the holiday were jewellery, sweets, perfumes and different objects that help to create a romantic atmosphere.
According to experts, judging by orders from February 6 to 11, women will receive jewellery (sales increased by 280 per cent compared to the average in 2020), perfumes (164 per cent) and sweets (158 per cent).
At the same time, by Valentine’s Day 2020, 26 per cent more men bought heart-shaped balloons, candles and aromatic products to create a holiday atmosphere. In general, sales of such goods increased by 87 per cent.
Analysts stated that men started to prepare more for February 14th than before. According to experts, sales of aromatic oils in February grew by 181 per cent; candles and balls by 120 per cent.
