For a Moscow family of four, cooking pancakes for Maslenitsa, which this year falls on the week from March 8 to March 14, will cost 125 rubles. For the Moscow region, this figure is 118 rubles, the press service of the Central Bank of Russia reports.
It is noted that for Muscovites the cost of pancakes for the year increased by 3.1 per cent, and for residents of the Moscow region, by 3.5 per cent. The main reason for this was the rise in sugar prices due to the drought and poor harvest last year. The price of flour also increased significantly, as due to the rise in world prices for grain, the prices on the Russian market increased too.
It is specified that pancakes with condensed milk will cost 232 rubles for the residents of Moscow, and 225 rubles for the Moscow region. If the filling of the pancakes is meat, then the Moscow family will spend 289 rubles, and the Moscow region 273 rubles. Pancakes with jam will cost 219 rubles for Muscovites, and 189 rubles for residents of the region. For a pancake dish with cottage cheese, a Muscovite will have to spend 296 rubles and a resident of the Moscow region, 266 rubles.
