Analysts conducted a study comparing the average cost of scheduled maintenance in Moscow and St. Petersburg for the best-selling cars in the country, car.ru reported with reference to the press service of the online automotive aggregator Autospot.
The leader in the rating of the most popular cars in Russia in June 2020 was Hyundai Creta. The second place is occupied by the Japanese car Mitsubishi Outlander. The third-place took Skoda Kodiaq. The top 5 also included Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris.
Skoda Kodiaq (46,800 rubles) became the most expensive in the top 10 popular cars for the sum of 3 inspections in Moscow; the cheapest one is Kia Rio (22,535 rubles). Skoda Karoq (43,720 rubles) became the most expensive in St. Petersburg service, and the cheapest is Hyundai Solaris (25,936 rubles).
In general, Moscow prices are still higher than those offered by the mechanics of St. Petersburg. In the Russian capital, the maintenance of Hyundai Creta and Solaris is 11% and 16% more expensive than in St. Petersburg, Mitsubishi Outlander is 18% higher, Skoda Kodiaq 10%, Skoda Octavia 5%, Skoda Karoq 1%, and Skoda Rapid 21%.
