Experts of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) have listed the most expensive and cheapest countries, in addition to Turkey and Egypt, for the spring holidays of domestic tourists.
According to experts, the most “budget-friendly” vacation for Russians can be in Sri Lanka and the UAE. A week-long trip for one person will cost 50 and 55 thousand rubles, respectively. The price of a holiday in Pattaya, Thailand, starts from 64 thousand rubles, in Phuket, from 72 thousand rubles, and in Koh Samui, from 93 thousand rubles. For up to 100 thousand rubles can also be purchased sightseeing tours to Bahrain and Zanzibar.
Weekly trips to Malaysia (107 thousand rubles), Nepal (108 thousand rubles), India (110 thousand rubles), and Iran (116 thousand rubles) will be less profitable. The most expensive countries for summer holidays are Indonesia, South Africa, Mongolia, and Oman, where tourists will have to pay at least 120, 153, 202 and 221 thousand rubles for a seven-day trip, respectively.
