The ‘Russia-1’ TV channel became the most popular in Russia again in 2020, with a 12.4 per cent audience share, RIA News reports with reference to the press service of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. This TV channel has been holding a leading position since 2016.
According to the results of the fifth year of the championship, Russia-1 demonstrates an increase in the audience and a gap with competitors. According to official TV measurements, the average audience share of a TV channel in 2020 is 12.4 per cent (Channel One – 10.5 per cent, NTV – 9.4 per cent). It is clarified that throughout the year, the leader did not concede a single week to its competitors, and the overall increase in the average annual share of the TV channel’s audience compared to 2019 was 3.3 per cent.
