According to the data provided by the Russian Statistics Service (Rosstat) collected for the first quarter of the year, the highest salaries in Russia were recorded for workers employed in insurance and financial activities, RT reports.
It is noted that in this industry, workers received 106.6 thousand rubles. The second place is occupied by mining, where the average salary was 85.6 thousand rubles, and the third place took the information and communication sphere, where the salary amounted to 81 thousand rubles. The list also included professional, scientific, and technical areas (73.4 thousand rubles). The lowest average salaries were recorded among employees of hotels and catering (29 thousand rubles).
