The specialists of the Russian job search service studied in which regions of Russia the rates of hiring and opening new vacancies were the highest at the end of 2021, and compiled a rating of cities in which the labour market is recovering the fastest.
At the end of 2021, the number of vacancies opened on the Rabota.ru job search service increased by 22 per cent compared to 2020. From this, experts concluded that over the past year, Russian business has been actively recovering. It is reported that Russian companies were able to adapt to the new realities of recruiting, which were formed due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
It is noted that large regional companies played a key role in the recovery. Moscow and the Moscow Region have become the leaders in terms of job growth by the end of 2021. The top five also included St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar Krai, and the Novosibirsk Region.
The top ten regions with the largest number of open vacancies included Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Saratov regions, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. As clarified, in all regions of the country, employers especially needed workers from the fields of trade, transport and logistics, production and agriculture, as well as office and business services.
