The famous fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, who arrived in St. Petersburg to present his Fashion Freak Show, told what he would do next, taking into account that on January 17 he announced the end of his career; his last show was held in Paris, on January 22, reports Fontanka.ru.
“I still can and want to continue being engaged in fashion, but in another form through the performances that I intend to do,” he said.
The fashion designer, who created the most shocking outfits for such stars as Madonna and Conchita Wurst, admitted that he began to dream about the theatre even before he engaged in fashion.
The haute couture guru said that the continuation is possible in the form of an international version, which will also possibly come to St. Petersburg in the future. But there are no other specific projects of the show yet: the designer plans to constantly modify the existing project.
The Fashion Freak Show can be seen from January 31 to February 2 at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall. For the Russian public, the show includes models from the 1986 collection, Russian Constructivism.
