The festival of the future theatre begins on February 22 in Moscow. Over 7 days there will be presented over 60 performances. Events will be held in museum spaces and in creative clusters ArtPlay, Red October, Gulag Museum, Mansion Dashkov 5, TASS reports.
Visitors will have a chance to attend lectures, masterclasses, discussions and round tables with the main topic of the interaction of new technologies and theatre.
According to the artistic director of the festival, Eduard Boyakov, theatre remains an art involving live contact with a person, despite the fact that when discussing the future of the theatre, an abundance of computer technology comes to mind first.
Festival will also concern the diversity of cultures since the theatre of the future, according to Boyakov, cannot get around the fight against globalization, though the topic of traditional cultural properties will also be in the spotlight.
