The first eco-friendly buses for the first time entered the city of Noyabrsk in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. New buses have replaced the outdated ones, the press service of the regional government reports.
It is noted that 9 low-floor passenger buses running on gas engine fuel, adapted for people with limited mobility and mothers with strollers, now run along the city routes of Noyabrsk. In total, about 110 thousand people live in Noyabrsk, which is 20 per cent of the total population of Yamal. For them, 65 buses run daily around the city.
A mobile gas station is used to refuel eco-friendly buses. Once every three days, the station will be filled with fuel in Surgut. It is expected that this mobile gas tanker will be used until the construction of an automobile gas filling station in the city, and the planned completion date is 2022.
