The drone “Barraging Kamikaze”, which will receive the F-1 hand grenade drop system, was first presented at the Aeronet-2035 exhibition. This was announced by the head of the Laboratory of External Piloting and operation of unmanned Aircraft of the Research Institute of Computing Complexes Vitaly Dolgov.

“Hexacopter ‘Barraging Kamikaze’ is a small-range device, up to 20 kilometers. Also, work is underway to equip the drone with a drop system for F-1 grenades. The device will be able to take on board up to six products. Also, video cameras, thermal imagers, and target designators can be hung on the ‘Barraging Kamikaze’. It will be a help to those who are on the ground — correction, retention, guidance,” he said.
In the near future, the department’s specialists may develop a prototype cargo drone.
“Maybe soon we will have a cargo hexacopter. At the moment, the task was set to make a barraging BAS [unmanned aviation system]. Perhaps a prototype will be made by September,” Dolgov said.
