FIVB Confirms 2022 World Cup to Be Held in Russia

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has confirmed that the 2022 Men’s World Cup will be held in Russia, despite the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) sanctions against Russian sports, TASS reports with reference to the federation’s press service.

“The FIVB welcomes WADA’s recognition of the fact that it is legally and practically impossible to move the 2022 Men’s Volleyball World Championship out of Russia, given how far preparations have come for this multi-city event,” the FIVB President, Ary Graça, said.

It is reminded that the World Volleyball Championship will be held from August 26 to September 11, 2022, in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, and Krasnoyarsk.
