Food enterprises of the Leningrad region signed contracts for the supply of products as part of a trip to the United Arab Emirates. The delegation included representatives of the business community of the region, headed by the Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities Dmitry Yalov.
It is noted that during the three days of the business mission, regional companies held several dozen meetings with food distributors and visited enterprises in Abu Dhabi engaged in petrochemical processing. It turned out that large distributors who supply to the UAE retail chains are interested in frozen berries and finished products from berries of the “Berries of Karelia” brand.
As reported, by the end of the year, the Export Support Centre of the Leningrad Region plans to conduct two more business missions for small and medium-sized enterprises of the region planning to develop foreign economic activity. These will be Belarus and Algeria. It is specified that international meetings and business missions for entrepreneurs are organized as part of the “International Cooperation and Export” national project.
