Football Club ‘Zenit’ Became Second in Europe in Terms of Attendance

St. Petersburg football club Zenit, after moving to a new stadium, became the second in Europe in terms of average attendance growth (from 25,406 to 43,963 people). This was reported by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The first in this indicator was the London Tottenham Hotspur. 

In the 2018/19 season, the Spanish club Barcelona (over 1.43 million people) took first place in total attendance, followed by Manchester United (over 1.41 million), RIA News reports.

The first official match at the new Zenit stadium was held in April 2017. According to the Russian Premier League, the arena seats 67 thousand 800 spectators.
