Free Wi-Fi Launched in Moscow Theatres

A free city Wi-Fi network has appeared in Moscow theatres, the press service of the city administration reports with reference to the Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina.

“It is important for a resident of any modern metropolis that a good Internet is always at hand – for work, study, communication. City Wi-Fi is already available on many streets of Moscow, in libraries, houses of culture, museums. Now access points have been installed in the capital’s theatres. Wi-Fi is now available in more than 600 buildings of cultural institutions,” Sergunina said.

It is specified that free wireless Internet is available in two buildings of the Moscow Academic Theatre of Vladimir Mayakovsky, the Modern Moscow Drama Theatre, and the Moscow Children’s Musical Theatre “Impromptu”. A total of 18 access points are installed there.

In addition, in 2020, more than a thousand new connection points have appeared in the city. More than 400 of them are located inside the Garden and Third Transport Ring, the rest, at the Northern River Station, in three hostels of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education, as well as in houses of culture and other city institutions.
