Valeria Garashchenko won two European Championships in different classes of yachts
kiting. She became the winner of the XI National Prize “Yachtsman of the Year”.
Lera is engaged in kiting, which is also considered a sailing sport. She has won two European Championships in different classes of yachts. Such universalism is a rarity among yachtsmen.
According to girl’s father and coach, Denis Garashchenko, at the European Championship in kiteboarding in the team competition (Olympic discipline), she won silver, and also took second place at the World Cup among athletes under 19.
The whole family of Garashchenko is engaged in kiting. In February, they won four medals at the European Championships and the stage of the World Cup in snowkiting, with Lera ahead of men. And before that, the Garashchenko family brought medals from the Cup of Russia.
