An unusual sports festival with the participation of the leading players of the HC “Siberia”, Oleg Li and Yegor Milovzorov, was held at the rink in the working village of Linevo, VN.ru reports.
The meeting was organized by the Sibanthracite Group (the largest producer of metallurgical coal in Russia, the world leader in the supply of high-quality UHG anthracite) for its employees and residents of the village. The workers of the coal-mining enterprise won with a score of 7:6. This event launched a new programme of a coal mining enterprise to support outdoor sports in the Iskitimsky District and the Novosibirsk Region. For many years already the company has been supporting and actively developing professional and amateur hockey in the region.
Yuri Zemlyanov, an employee of the press service of HC Siberia, noted that it is important for the club to interact with the fans, so they gladly responded to the initiative of the Sibanthracite Group and supported the founder’s idea to develop yard hockey in the region. The president of the Siberian Hockey League, Mikhail Kusachev, is confident that the meeting on ice between professional hockey players and amateurs “will give a new impetus to local children to train more seriously”.
